(They basically say the same thing).

Well, when you look at me the first thing you will probably notice is my height, but no I don't do basketball (you won't believe the amount of times I get asked that in one day!). Instead I like to spend the hours of my life dedicated to work, friends, family, God, and grades.

Usually, you'll find me hanging out with friends, watching a movie, or reading a book outside. Talking to my friends is probably one of my favorite hobbies. I love to talk about just about anything, but the topics that really entice me are the more thoughtful ones: Philosophy, God, morality, etc.

Thus, why I'm a sucker for literature. Throw me a novel, and I won't be able to resist it. I've read Huck Finn, The Count of Monte Cristo, 1984, Brave New World, Catcher in the Rye, Moby Dick Emma, Hamlet, and Macbeth. And I love them all.

My literary interest doesn't stop there, however, it also emerges in my love of movies. I'm fascinated by movies that aim to get me thinking. Seven, Mulholland Drive, Lost Highway, Memento, The Machinist, anyone? I also sometimes enjoy just a fun little movie now and then. One of my favorites is Dumb and Dumber (I didn't see it coming man. I got robbed by a little old lady on a motorized cart; We've got no money, we've got no food, our pets heads are falling off!)

I try to be as caring toward others as I possibly can, and try to do the best thing in any situations. I value honesty, loyatly, and friendship above everything, except of course God.

God is the most important figure in my life, after all, he deserves to be so. Someone who gave me life and sent Jesus down on the cross to die for my sins can't be that all bad, can he? I've been trying to learn more about God, thus why I'm going to a Christian school.

Speaking of School, I'm currently in College, majoring in English and minoring in theatre programs. I plan to go through to get my doctorate degree, and teach as a college professor. I just love hearing others ideas, so it would be my dream job. I'm going to achieve it, no matter how many obstacles fall in way.

A few things about me:

-I strive to be strong in my faith for God, so I want someone who loves God.

-A girl who's intelligent is a big turn on for me, especially with Literature and/or movies. Anyone out there like to analyze media? It's also important though, for that girl to be able to have fun. Although I love to think, there's times for just joking around as well.

-Marriage comes first.

-Art can change the human soul.

-I LOVE to read, and am intersted in just about any piece of literature.

-Watching TV is great. 24, Twin Peaks, Everybody Loves Raymond, and Still Standing are some of my favorite shows.

-I have a dog named Snickers. Have no clue how we got the name. He doesn't look anything like the candy bar, and I've never heard him laugh.

-I'd love to spend more time outdoors! Spleunking is on my bucket list.

So, what would my perfect match be like?

-I love someone who can think and look good while doing it! Speaking of looks, I'm not really pushy in this department, as long as you're of average body type, I have no problem. Although I mostly take the girl's facial features into consideration above all else. After all, that's where I'm going to have my eyes most of the time.

-I need a girl that can have fun, but also be serious when she needs to be.

-I value equality in relationships. I don't want to feel like I have the upper hand. Likewise, if my significant other makes all the choices, what fun would that be for me? Life is a journey that needs to be taken and enjoyed with a partner who's able to work alongside you while you do likewise.

Hey! My name is Scottie (legally, even). Born in California (and hope to make it back out that way sometime), but raised from one year old in a small town in Indiana. As you may have noticed, most of my pictures are me smiling like a fool/singing like a fool/acting a fool in some way, shape or form. "other," for me, means spiritual. I definitely don't subscribe to any one religion, but I lean towards the eastern religions, especially Buddhism. The open mindedness, and ability for each person to follow their own path to enlightenment, plus the acceptance of nature and spirituality going hand in hand is great. I'm very open minded when it comes to spirituality, and don't look down upon anyone for their religious choices, nor will I choose not to speak to someone based on their choices, so long as they respect me for mine.

I always enjoy meeting truly awesome people who love life and the ups and downs associated with it. I believe there are definitely times when you need to buckle down/get serious, but for the most part, you've gotta go with the flow, or you'll just get swept away by it.

I try to find entertainment and humor in anything I do. I'm open to trying most things. In general though, I'm a gamer. I play fighting games competitively, or at least try to when I can. Music is a very big part of my life. It's always been my biggest emotional outlet. I would like to improve my abilities and learn how to play multiple instruments. I can listen to and enjoy music from any genre. Like many others I'm not much a fan of mainstream rap or country, but unlike some others I don't limit myself via stereotypes. Not all rap is gangster and not all country is meaningless American Asskissing & Tractors. I prefer music with deep and meaningful lyrics, but I'm not elitist about it. I can listen to silly shallow pop and enjoy it just as much. Probably my least favorite genre is metal. In particular, I enjoy music with unique instrumentals.

I drive a green '95 Jeep Wrangler with a camel colored rag top. And I LOVE it. I'm glad I've got the 4 wheel drive for all this snow but I will be a very happy lady when I can put the top down and go for a drive in the sun.

I moved to Indiana 10 years ago after living in Florida for nearly 18 years. Having been married for 25 years, I'm ready to open a new chapter in life. Now it's Scot time..
